Conventional medicine is finally beginning to catch up with the fact of something long known to alternative practioners - that there is curative power in the correct use of magnets.
A new study in the USA has revealed that test patients who applied magnets to painful areas of their body saw a significant relief against others using more conventional remedies. Scientists were astonished. Further tests have been called for, as the medical establishment is keen to discover just how many conditions can be successfully treated by this amazing "new" therapy. In particular researchers are out to discover how various strengths of magnetic field influence the progress of a particular treatment, just like a dosage of conventional medicine.
In reality there is nothing new in the use of magnets to treat infirmity. Ancient societies used this therapy in abundance. They may well have gone several stages further, utilising the amazing lifting power of magnets to raise enormous stone blocks, such as those used in the building of the pyramids of Egypt. The certain truth is that in magnets you have a ready source of power that today is but poorly understood. Happily this ignorance may not last for too much longer, as scientists gradually unravel the immense latent energy stored in an ordinary magnet.
Although the amelioration of pain is a well known use of magnets, it would be foolhardy for the individual to use them indiscriminately. As with all medicines there is likely to be harmful side-effects through careless usage. We are particularly concerned how magnets may interfere with the rhythm of the heart, and also the long term effects on cell structure. It is well known that powerful magnetic fields can cause cancer, and any treatment using magnetic forces must be carefully monitored. Despite this however we remain convinced that in the coming decades fuller knowledge of magnetic therapy will lead to immense advances in the treatment of illnesses previously thought impossible to cure!
