Rare Earth Magnets

Rare Earth magnets are the most powerful magnets available in the Industry with outstanding magnetic properties which allow compact and miniaturization of existing designs.

Sintered NdFeB magnets are available in energy products ranging from 27 to 40 MGOe. These are ideal for low temperature applications (below 100C), at higher temperatures and humidity they become unstable and oxidize. Corrosion protection in the form of Nickel or Zinc coatings are recommended. They are light and more cost effective than the Samarium Cobalt magnets.

Rare earth magnets can be manufactured in any size ranging from 1 millimeter diameter to 3 inches in diameter and in any common or custom shapes. Direction of magnetization is normally through the thickness unless otherwise specified and standard tolerances are +/-0.005 inches on all dimensions.

Due to their brittle nature and high magnetic strength special care should be taken in handling these rare earth magnets.
